Alfonso Salas, Jr., died November 30, 2019 in a San Marcos hospital. He was born May 22, 1951 to Alfonso & Dolores Corpus Salas, SR in Luling, Texas. Alfonso worked in Gonzales as a butcher for many years. He is survived by his wife, Dora Sanchez Salas of San Marcos. Daughters, Lisa & Mitchell Richard of Palestine, Cynthia Salas of Waelder, Dora Ann & Emilio Rodriguez of San Marcos. Sons, Stephen & Shelly Salas of Palestine, Jeffrey Sanchez of San Marcos, Frankie Noyola of Waelder. 15 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Mary & Ysidro Gonzales of Tyler, Chela Perez & Lupe Bosquez of Luling, Delores O’Hare of Luling, Lydia DeLeon of Luling, Dora Salas of Royal, WA. Brothers, Mike Salas of Palestine, Greg Salas of Luling, Jesse & Norma Salas of Leander. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and 1 son, Alfonso Salas, III.
Pall Bearers are Jeffrey Sanchez, Lupe Bosquez, Freddy Torres, Johnny Munoz, Pancho Tello, & Gregory Salas, Jr. Honorary Pall Bearer is Phillip Sanchez.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 4th at O’Bannon Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday December 4th at O’Bannon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday December 5th at ST. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery.
