Obituary for Anna Dora Frazier (Ruff)

ANNA DORA FRAZIER
Anna Dora Frazier went to be with the Lord and loved ones in Heaven on February 5, 2023 in Luing, Texas. Anna was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 23, 1927 to Myrtle Jones Ruff and Leslie Frank Ruff. She became a Christian at age 10 and was baptized at Ingleside Baptist Church in Shreveport. In Luling, Mrs. Frazier was a member at First Baptist Church and later at Central Baptist Church. Anna graduated from Fair Park High School and then went on to get her Bachelor of Arts degree at Centenary College in Shreveport. She did post- graduate studies at Northwestern Louisiana University, L.S.U, Northern Arizona University and San Diego State.
She married Nalbro Charles Frazier on December 26, 1948 until his passing in 1997. The couple were married for 48 years. She taught school for 38 years in Louisiana, Angleton and Luling Texas, and Calexico, California. Anna’s first teaching job was in Castor, Louisiana where she met her husband. Her last teaching job was at Luling Primary School. She was remembered fondly by many of her students.
Mrs. Frazier belonged to Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Art Students League and International Women Teachers organization Delta Kappa Gamma. She enjoyed reading to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved doing crossword puzzles, painting and flower arranging. She was a prayer warrior and generous, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother!
Anna Dora is preceded in death by her parents, husband Nalbro, sons Richard Alexander and James Patrick, sisters Mildred Bonner and Lessie Cason.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike LeBlanc and Sharon and Billy Taylor. Also, grandchildren Gary Foreman Jr. (Katrina), Charles Foreman, Kendall Taylor, Kathryn Neal (Frank), Allison Ethridge (Travis), Katy and Sara Taylor. Great-grandchildren Aiden, Lily, and Connor Foreman, Robbie and Bella Neal, Audrey and Will Ethridge. Her sister, Gail Sermons of Katy, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Saturday, February 18, 2023 at O’Bannon’s Funeral Home in Luling, Texas at 11 AM with Brother Bruce Coonce officiating. Graveside service will be held in the spring at family cemetery in Winn Parish, Louisiana.
1 Corinthians 2:9 It is written that Heaven is far, far greater than anything we have ever known or can ever imagine. It says that “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love the Lord Jesus.”
