Obituary for Brandon Duane Zumwalt

Brandon Duane Zumwalt, age 37, died June 27, 2023 in Luling, Texas.
Brandon was born on October 2, 1985 in Gonzales, Texas to Duane Zumwalt and Lisa Gaspard.
He graduated from Luling High School in 2004. Following high school, Brandon attended Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas on a football scholarship.
Brandon was the father of three beautiful children, Rhett, Ensley, and Stesstynn Zumwalt. They were the love of his life. He enjoyed coaching his son Rhett’s little league baseball team. Brandon felt blessed to be a father and he was a loving and gentle giant.
Brandon was an avid outdoorsman, but especially enjoyed deer and dove hunting. He also loved working with his hands and doing carpentry work.
Brandon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Luling. He was deep in his faith to Christ and shared the word of God with anyone that would listen. His favorite scriptures were Romans Chapter 5 and Psalm 100.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jesse Zumwalt and David Gieser. He is survived by his three children, Rhett, Ensley, and Stesstynn Zumwalt, his parents, Lisa Gaspard of Luling, Duane (Tina) Zumwalt of Harwood, his two sisters, Stassney Musick of Luling and Lori Gaspard Pendergrass of Willow Springs, Missouri, his brother, Casey Zumwalt of Harwood, his grandparents Mary Gieser, and Linda (Art) Weisenberger of Harwood, his Godson, Caiden Zumwalt, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Remi.
Pallbearers include Danny Zumwalt, Casey Zumwalt, Caiden Zumwalt, Keith Zumwalt, Thomas Gonzales, Mark Gonzales and honorary pallbearers are Bub Blundell, Gavin Gonzales, Kameron Gonzales, Kevan Gonzales, Hunter Zumwalt, Jack Musick, and Jesse Lee Zumwalt.
