Obituary for Constancio Cruz

Constancio Aleman Cruz was born on September 2, 1935 in Jaumave, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Tirso & Maria de la luz Cruz. He went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Constancio was always known for being a good worker and having a strong work ethic. During his years in Mexico & in the United States, he worked many different jobs and very long hours. He was a laborer, through and through.

He took the responsibility of being a provider for his family seriously and made sure his kids never had needs; he even built a home for his family with his own hands. He ensured the doors of his home were always open; whether to family or strangers, be it for a couple days or a couple months, he made sure everyone was welcomed and everyone would be taken care of.

Constancio’s pride and joy was his family. He loved seeing his children and grandchildren succeed and reach their dreams. His legacy will live on through them.

He is survived by his children: Maricela Gomez Cruz (Juan Jose), Jorge Cruz, Norma Almanza Cruz (Jose), Angel Cruz (Isidra), Constancio Cruz Jr., Javier Cruz, Diana Cruz, Jesse Cruz (Roxanne), Maria Cruz & Elizabeth Cruz; his brothers and their spouses: Octavio, Baristo, Federico, Ernesto, Pedro & Roberto Cruz Aleman; his sister: María Elena Cruz; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maria Narcisa Cruz Reyna; his brother: Tomas Cruz Aleman; his sister, Margarita Alvarez Cruz; his daughter, María Elena Cruz; 3 infant children; and infant grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Jose Almanza, Angel Almanza, Tomas Cruz, Luis Cruz, Seth Cruz & Justin Cruz. Honorary Pallbearer is Analisa Gonzales.

The family will be accepting visitors FROM 5:00 pm TO 7:00pm on Friday, April 5th. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 6th, followed by burial at the Luling Community Cemetery. Both services will be located at Liberty Christian Church, 305 Blanco St, Luling, TX.
