Glenn Arthur Bell, 73 was born in Los Angeles, California and passed away, Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the hospital while surrounded by close family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, May 22 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 975 Nash Creek Rd, Kingsbury, Texas 78638. Funeral home location for flower delivery is O’Bannon Funeral Home, 201 S. Laurel, Luling, Texas 78648.
Glenn Bell was born June 19, 1949, in Los Angeles, California to Glain Herbert Bell and Dorothy V. Bell. He lived in Texas with his grandparents, Harvey Anderson and Ophelia Anderson, where he attended school and eventually graduated from Seguin High School in 1968. He was an excellent football player who played tackle and became affectionately known as Glenn “POP” Bell by his friends. He later became a professional boxer and had a short-term career before starting a family. He had a long and successful career as a foreman overseeing the management of production and managing various staff.
He enjoyed watching westerns and Kungfu movies with his children and grandchildren. He was a huge fan of boxing and football, which he would enjoy while preparing and eating barbeque. He loved the Lord and could be found watching Joel Osteen on Sunday mornings. He loved his family, had a kind spirit, and a captivating sense of humor.
Glenn A. Bell peacefully went home to be with his family that preceded him in death; parents, Glain Herbert Bell, Dorothy V. Bell, son, Glain Bell, and one grandson, Gene Arthur Ellison Junior. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Waynette Turner, Gene Ellison, Genessa Ekeocha & Chidozie her husband, one brother Herbert James Bell, three sisters, Joyce Miles Glenn, Patricia Ann Alexander, Barbara Jean Moore, aunt, Earnest Mae Corley, seven grandchildren, Ariyonna Nichole Ellison, Cayden Micheal Lopez, Jayden Isaiah Ellison, Layla Michelle Ellison, Brayden Genesis Ellison, Serenity Iheoma Ekeicha, Bentlee Jaevion Ellison, numerous nephews and nieces, relatives, and friends.
