Obituary for Gregory Salas Sr.
Gregory Salas Sr. 68 years old lost his battle to cancer peacefully in his home and went to be with the lord on September 24, 2023 @ 9:04am.
Gregory was born November 17, 1954 in Fentress ,TX to Alfonso Salas Sr and Dolores (Lola) Corpus of Luling TX.
They say GOD gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers and Greg was definitely a strong man, He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts . He spent 6 years in the Army National Guard where he became a staff Sergeant and got honorably discharged on August 3rd, 1978. After that he dedicated over 40 years to the oil field teaching his boys Gregory Jr and Jeffrey everything he knows.
Gregory is survived by his children Gregory Jr and wife Ruby Salas, Jeffery Salas, Sarah Dudley, and 14 grandchildren also survived by his siblings Mary Gonzales and Ysidro Gonzales, Chela Perez and Lupe Bosquez, Dora Sanchez, Delores O'hare, Lydia Deleone, Dora Salas, Mike Salas, Jesse and Norma Salas, He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Alfonso Salas Jr, and numerous loved aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers are Alexander Salas, Abraham Salas, Eron Salas, Bryan Salas, Omarion Solis, and Anthony Salas. Honorary pallbearers are Gregory Salas III, Adrian Salas, and Jeremiah Solis.
Services will take place Saturday September 30th with Pastor Allen Davis at Maranatha Christian Fellowship Church viewing starts at 10am service to follow at 11am burial services will proceed at the community cemetery in Luling, TX
