Guadalupe D Gonzales was called to his eternal resting place on October 11, 2019. He leaves behind his wife Diana T Gonzales of 49 years, son Matthew B Gonzales, wife Alawna Gonzales, son Alexander X Gonzales, wife Dawn Gonzales, daughter Sarah J Gonzales, partner Glen Germer, grandchildren, Jobi Gonzales, Kassandra Reynoso, husband Bryan, Xander Campos, Daniel Mireles, fiancé Shannon Blanton, Callie Middleton, Dalton Middleton, Matthew Gonzales, Aden Gonzales, James Hellums, Bowen Hellums and Greyson Gonzales. He had seven great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his parents Porfino and Carolina Gonzales, sisters Gloria Alvarez and Delia Alquisiras.
Mr. Gonzales retired from the United States Marine Corps after serving his country for 22 years. He retired as a decorated Viet Nam War veteran. Mr. Gonzales was a well known man amongst the community. He was known to all as Mg G or “the mechanic across the tracks.” He will truly be missed by all who were blessed to have crossed his path.
Visitation will be 5-7 Thursday October 17 at O’Bannon Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday October 18 at 10:00 am at Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery in Luling, Tx.
