Obituary for Jacob Tyler Salas

Jacob Tyler Salas, who was a beloved son and brother, unexpectedly passed on September 7, 2021 at the age of 22.

Jacob is survived by his parents; Patrick Salas and Christi Salas; his brother Cameron Salas; his sisters Briana, Haley, and Kylie Salas; his nephew Hector Raul Lopez jr.; his grandparents Miguel and Rosa Gonzales on his mother’s side, Estella Simpson and Celestino Salas Jr on his fathers side. Also, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was born on April 6, 1999 in Luling, Texas. He was a life-long resident of Luling and was the second oldest of five children. Growing up, he was always a very energetic and happy child. He was always asking questions and wanting to know how things worked the way they did. As a teenager going through high school, he was active in the Luling High School band and eventually graduated in 2018.

Jacob was a very affectionate and loving person, he loved to give everyone hugs and check in on everyone once in a while. He was a very selfless and forgiving person to everyone and loved to make new friends. He was a very social person, talking to him was like talking to someone you knew for years because of how easy he could carry on a conversation.

In his adult life he enjoyed every day like it was his last. Though he did work two jobs, he decided that he’d rather do what he loved and that was seeing and being around his friends and family. Especially his nephew, whom he loved very much. Jacob passed away doing what he loved and that was being around his family. Jacob left a huge mark on everyone’s lives, he will be deeply missed by everyone.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday September 15, 2021 at ST. John’s Catholic Church with Father Howard Goertz officating.
