Obituary for James Edward Billings
James Edward Billings, of Luling died November 6, 2020 in Kyle, Texas. He was born November 14, 1942 in Nixon, to James Polk & Thelma Eloise Hartman Billings, Jr.. He married Judy An McGlothin on October 14, 1961 in Smiley, Texas. He worked for many years as a Taxidermist.
He is survived by his Wife, Judy Billings of Luling. Daughter, Laura Billings of Seguin. Sons, Paul Wayne & D’Ann Billings of Luling & James Billings, Jr. Nine grandchildren, Sharron Reed, Josh Billings, Austin Billings, Lesley Williamson, Sydney Williamson, Seth Purnhaten, Amber Billings, Debra Pilgrim, & Cheyenne Whitlatch, and eleven great grandchildren. Brother, Doug & JoAnn Billings of Yorktown.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be: Josh Billings, Austin Billings, John P{ilgrim, Les Dodger, Lyman Leland, Charles Kalisek, & Jimmy Tankersley.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Tuesday November 10, 2020 at O’Bannon Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday November 10, 2020 at O’Bannon Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Perkins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Luling Cemetery
“Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, chapel service and graveside burial rite. Services are under the care and direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home.”
