Juan Castillo, 61, of Luling, died September 7, 2020 in Austin. He was born January 23, 1959, in Mexico to Pedro Castillo & Celestina Castillo Vargas. He married Evelia Castillo. Juan worked in the Oil Field.
He is survived by his wife, Evelia Castillo of Luling. Daughter, Sandra Castillo of Luling. Sons, Juan Castillo, Jr of Luling, and Cesar Castillo of Luling. 4 grandchildren, Jeanette Castillo, Jacqueline Castillo, Cesar Favian Castillo, and Saul Omar Castillo. 5 sisters, Lucia Vigil of California, Silvia Elizarraras of California, Esmeralda Reyes of Mexico, Lilly Vigil of Mexico, and Veda Perez of Mexico. 2 Sons, Catarino Castillo of Luling, and Francisco Castillo of Luling.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM Thursday, September 10, 2020 in O'Bannon Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 10th at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Luling with Father Howard Goertz officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Juan Castillo, Jr, Cesar Castillo, Uriel Castillo, Pedro Castillo, Catarino Castillo, Francisco Castillo, and Juan Castillo-Reyes.
Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, church service and graveside burial rite. Those remotely symptomatic of Covid 19 are politely asked not to attend. Services are under the care and direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home.
