Obituary for Karen Jayne Glenn (Alka)

Karen Jayne Glenn of Luling, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 68 in Kyle, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1955 to her loving parents Bobbie and Violet (GRAN) Alka.
Karen will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and rebel. She cherished her roles in life and found joy in spending time and taken care of her family and whoever came to know and love her.
Karen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Juli and Troy Hardin, her three sons, Michael Perkins, Heath and Brant Glenn and her granddaughter, Shelbi Hardin along with her three grandsons, Justin Hardin, Braden and Darren Perkins. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Conner, Zaylee, Jameson, and Holden, as well as another on the way (Addison). She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Randy and MaryAnn Alka, seven nieces and nephews, and countless friends and adopted kids who she held dear.
She is preceded in death by her mom, dad, her loving husband (Morris Glenn) and her brother (Bobbie Alka). She will also be joined on her journey by her beautiful great-grandson, Karter James Buhl.
In addition to her immediate family, Karen shared her love and warmth with those around her. She had a passion for playing guitar, singing, and using her talents to bring joy to others. Karen's devotion to her loved ones was evident in the way she embraced her role as a mother and grandmother.
Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Karen's life at the O'Bannon funeral home on August 16, 2023. The ceremony will be a time to remember the beautiful memories shared with Karen and to honor the impact she had on the lives of those around her.
Karen J. Glenn's legacy will live on through the love and memories she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, knowing that her kindness and compassion will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
