There is so much to say about this young man, Mario. Mario was born in Laredo, Texas and grew up in Luling, Texas. He had a wonderful childhood. He grew to be an amazing loving father, he had many stories to tell, and he was so intelligent, funny, and loved sports. He always tried to help everyone, he was a true handy man. Anytime anyone needed help, he was the person to call. Everyone loved him and he will truly be missed by his family he left behind. He was the oldest of 5 siblings and graduated from Luling High School in 1995.

He is survived by his parents, Humberto and Maria Castillo of Luling, Texas. His 3 children son Jordan Mendez, daughter Gabriela Castillo and her fiancé Daniel Rodriguez, and son Mario Castillo of Luling, Texas. He had four grandchildren Thomas, Jordan Jr., Ivan and Julian.
