He was born June 23, 1938 in Fentress, Texas to Andres and Jesusita Nombrana Montana. On July 5, 1957 he married Dominga Garcia in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mike worked as an Auto Parts salesman for CARQUEST Auto Parts in Luling.
He is survived by his wife Dominga Montana of Luling, Daughters, Sylvia & John Gonzales of Luling, and Virgie & Frank Frausto of Luling. Sons, Michael & Michelle Montana of Kyle, and Rudy Montana of Luling. Grandchildren, Conrad Gonzales, Amanda Robinson, Andrea Gonzales, Valerie Raper, Joey Sanchez, Melissa Montana, Steven Hidrago, and Kimberly Montana. 18 Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Susie Longoria of Martindale, Mary Rodriguez, Elena Parra of Lockhart, Josie Martinez of Martindale, and Margie Montana of San Antonio. Brothers, Arturo Montana of Lockhart, Andres Montana, Jr. of Maxwell, David Montana of Martindale, and Jesse Montana of Staples.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Rosie Collazo, 1 brother, Alex Montana.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday July 20 at O’Bannon Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday July 20, at O’Bannon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday Jul 21 at ST. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the San Juan Cemetery in Prairie Lea.
