Richard Melvin “Rick” Whitlatch, 45, of Gonzales, passed away June 25, 2021.He was born March 9, 1976 in Limestone, Maine the son of Richard Michael and Judith Hutchins Whitlatch. He was a ranch hand and worked on several ranches in Gonzales and Caldwell counties. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking and billiards. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Crystal Lynn Whitlatch of Gonzales; mother and step-father Judi and Mike Moore of Gonzales; daughter Cheyenne Whitlatch of Seguin; step-daughter Lana Lynn Luce of Gonzales and brother Robert Michael Whitlatch of Gonzales.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 at the O’Bannon Funeral Home in Luling. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the funeral home with Reverend Alan Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Ottine Cemetery.
