Obituary for Sally Valdez (Valdez)
Sally (Mustang Sally) Valdez, 60, left us on April 02, 2022 with her family by her side at Seton Edgar B. Davis Memorial Hospital.
Sally was born January 18, 1962, in Victoria Texas to Rafaela Hernandez and Benito Valdez. From Victoria she found her way to Luling and made a home for her and her four daughters. She had a very hard life, but she also endured and overcame many challenges that life threw at her. They say “God gives his strongest soldiers the hardest battles” and she was definitely one. In her sixty years of life she made many friends and had many extended children/ grandchildren. She had one of the biggest hearts and was always selflessly giving more than she had. If you truly knew her you know she was the type of person to give you the shirt off her back, the last dollar in her pocket, and she wouldn’t hesitate to put your needs before her own. A few things we should remember about her is how strong, sensitive, loving, funny, and dependable she was. In everything she did, whether it was making her crafts, getting family together, taking care of her yard, or taking care of her parents, she always gave one hundred and ten percent. An important value she instilled in our family was to always say “I love you” because tomorrow isn’t promised. Her young hearted soul was radiant and lifted everyones spirits when she entered the room. She had the most contagious laugh, beautiful smile and I’m sure we can all agree she could be a pain in the ass.
She was a daughter, sister, cousin, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and at times even a father.
You can finally rest, no more pain, no more suffering, no more stress. We know you will be watching over us and will always be there. May we remember all of the good she did with her time here on earth, the lessons she taught us and the traditions she left behind for us to continue.
