With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Tonja Insogna, aged 67, who departed from this world on February 29, 2024. Tonja faced numerous health challenges with unwavering strength and courage, including battling cardiac arrest on Christmas night and again on January 5th, alongside bravely overcoming cancer four times over the past two decades.

Throughout her illustrious career in the medical field in Houston, TX, Tonja dedicated herself to serving others with compassion and expertise. Her remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life was truly one of her most remarkable qualities, enriching the lives of countless individuals within the medical community.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Tonja possessed a profound passion for culinary excellence, finding joy in the art of cooking and sharing meals with loved ones. Her warm and inviting nature made her a cherished presence at any gathering, where her love for lively conversation and meaningful connections shone brightly.
Tonja is proceeded in death by her father, Charles, and her mother, Martha. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years of marriage, David, who stood by her side through every trial and triumph. She leaves behind her cherished son, Chase, who was her constant source of pride and joy, as well as her daughter-in-law, Samantha, with whom she shared many cherished moments and laughter. Additionally, Tonja leaves behind her adored grand-puppy, Astro, whom she loved dearly.

To honor Tonja's memory, a viewing will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at O'Bannon Funeral Home, located at 210 S Laurel Ave, Luling, TX 78648. This will be followed by a celebration-of-life event at Zedler Mill, situated at 1170 S Laurel Ave, Luling, TX 78648, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where food and tea will be served, including at 5 PM with Father Jim Kee-Rees will provide words of faith and comfort along with friends and family who wish to share their memories about Tonja.
