Obituary for Tonya Marie Matthews (Tumlinson)
Tonya Marie Matthews passed away at 9:34pm on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at the age of 46. Tonya was born on July 3, 1977 in Gonzales Texas and resided in Harwood Texas. Tonya was a wild and free spirit and was the strongest person physically and mentally. She loved nature, fishing, swimming, bbqing, cooking, listening to music, and she really knew how to see the beauty in the moment.
Tonya always knew how to make someone laugh. She loved with all she had and would give anyone the shirt off of her back. She was a very hard worker and could out work any man. But most of all she was an amazing mother and she was taken way too soon. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years Lexie Gene Matthews ll and her children: son Lexie Gene Matthews lll, son Dillion Beard, daughter Taia Marie Matthews and husband Ethan Steaples, and daughter Brooklin Elizabeth Matthews. Her two grandchildren Lexie Gene Matthews llll and Remy Cal Hansen. One brother David Ray Tumlinson and One Nephew Lucas Tumlinson. She is proceeded in death by her parents Joseph Eugene Tumlinson and Shirley Ruth Liepitz.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday March 29, 2024 in the Harwood Cemetery.
