Obituary for Wesley Edward Haltom
Wesley Edward Haltom, 51 of Luling, Texas passed away October 11, 2023. Wesley was born May 3, 1972 in Baytown, Texas to Waymon Edward & Patty Masters Haltom. His family moved to Luling in 1978, where he completed his High School years. He graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Animal Science.
An energetic, fun-loving person, Wes (as he was known by many), enjoyed hunting and fishing, horseback riding, sports of various kinds, (official and backyard gatherings). He was active in livestock projects, both 4-H and FFA. As well as Golf.
Wesley was knowledgeable about a wide range if endeavors, and willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. But he also had his quiet side--- waiting for that trophy buck to walk out; or for that ‘big one’ fish to hit his line. And then there was coon hunting with his favorite hound or hog hunting ‘just to get rid of some of the critters’.
He is survived by his mother, Patty Haltom of Harwood, Texas. Daughter, Gillian Haltom of Lytle, Texas. Son, Cort Haltom of Lubbock, Texas. His partner, Tiffany Acevedo and children of Luling, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Waymon Edward Haltom, and aunt, Betty Haltom.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday October 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at O’Bannon Funeral Home, 210 S. Laurel, Luling, Texas 78648 with Rev. Jimmy Lammers officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
