Obituary for Willard Harvey Zumwalt
Willard Harvey Zumwalt, 90, of Harwood, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. Willard was born August 31, 1931 in Luling to Robert Harvey Zumwalt and Margaret Parthenia Hiley Zumwalt. He married Anna Mae Muehr on November 16, 1957 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne. Willard has been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for 26 years.
Willard is survived by his loving family; daughters and sons-in-law, Maureen and Chris Seidel of Katy, Darlene and James Wood of Bellville, sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Cathy Zumwalt of Bryan, Keith and Melinda Zumwalt, Glenn Zumwalt, Ryan and Naomi Zumwalt, Lane Zumwalt, and Wayne Zumwalt all of Harwood, 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Mae Muehr Zumwalt, and 2 brother Floyd Zumwalt and Jesse Zumwalt. And 1 sister, Evelyn Watts and 1 sister-in-law, Bernice Klaus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Howard Goertz as celebrant. Interment will follow in Harwood Cemetery. Pallbearers: Michael Zumwalt, William “Bill” Zumwalt, Cal Wood, Chad Seidel, Taylor Zumwalt, Preston Moen, and Nicholas Sherman.
