Obituary for William Jesse "Bill" Ellison

William Jesse “BILL” Ellison, 94 went to be with the Lord January 24, 2021 in Luling. He was born December 17, 1926 in Brownsboro, Texas to Thomas Lee & Jennie Edmonston Ellison. He graduated from Lockhart High School. Bill served his country in WWII with the US Navy. He married Jewel Beryl Alexander on May 22, 1947 in Austin, Texas. He was the first person from Luling to serve as the Caldwell County Judge and did so for many years. He went door to door to get people to support the building of the new Jail. Bill also worked in Law Enforcement and as an Insurance Adjuster.

He is survived by his daughters, Peggy Ellison Lindow and husband Ken of Houston, TX and Betty Ellison Kellsmurphy of Austin, TX. Sister, Edith Eleanor Ellison Mullins of Bastrop, TX. As well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces & nephews and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday January 28, at the Clearfork Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Lammers officiating.
