Conde Earl Lyman, age 85, died in Luling, Texas on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 12:20 p.m. He was born on August 29, 1934 in Gonzales, Texas to Henry and Frances Foy Lyman.

Conde attended school in Gonzales until he began working in the Gonzales cotton mill. When his family moved to Luling, Conde began working at Salt Flat Pipe and Supply as a truck driver.

Conde married Jennie Logan of Gonzales on February 18, 1956 in Cuero, Texas. They made their home in Luling.

After leaving Salt Flat Pipe and Supply, he went to work at Luling Oil and Gas where he worked for 23 years. Later, he worked for 17 years at Luling Machine and Iron Works where he became a top-rated welder. Conde welded for Centex Pipe Equipment, Inc. for the next two years. Before retirement in 2004, he worked for 10 years with J. E. Stuart Welding

Conde is survived by his wife, Jennie, after 63 years of marriage. Other survivors include their daughters Debbie Lyman Kinsey and husband, David, Connie Lyman Aleman and husband, Robert (deceased), and Tammie Lyman Parker and partner, Marc Osmun; sons Allen Lynnwood Lyman and wife, Veranda, and Stephan Morris Lyman and wife, Ana.

Conde's grandchildren include Allen Lynnwood Lyman, Jr., and wife, Danielle, Cody Cheyenne Aleman, Conde Earl Lyman II, Kyle Layne Lyman, Bo Grantham and wife, Taylor, John Robert Parker, Jr., Jacob Kinsey and fiance, Dina Dillard; granddaughters Cortnie Jena Chessher and husband, Jimmy, Chasidy Shae Bryant and husband, Brandon, Viviana Kate Lyman, and Kara Kinsey Johnson and husband, Timothy.

Conde's great-grandchildren include Cody Cheyenne Aleman, Jr., Cherub Autumn Aleman, Aynslie Jena Chessher, Marisa Adele Lyman, Noah Ryan Lyman, Timothy Dakota Johnson, Jr., Jaxon Cooper Johnson, and Baylee Rae Johnson.

During his lifetime, Conde spent four years in the U. S. Army, 1957 to 1961. He was an avid coon hunter, with many friends joining him in the sport. Also, he coached the Citizens State Bank Little League baseball team for seven years.

Conde became a Free Mason in 1959 with Hardeman Masonic Lodge 179. His service spanned 51 years. Also, he was a member of the American Legion Post 177.

Arrangements were under the direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home in Luling, Texas. Services, officiated by Pastor Brian Shanklin, were held at Central Baptist Church in Luling, with burial at Luling City Cemetary. Burial included a 12 gun salute and flag presentation by the American Legion and Masonic final services by members of Hardeman Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church in Luling, Texas.
